Reception & Year 1 Buddy Celebration
We had a fantastic end to our Autumn Term in Reception and Year 1 with a very special buddy session. The children had the exciting opportunity to share the Christmas storybooks they had been writing with their Year 6 buddies, reading their stories aloud and enjoying each other’s company.
After sharing their stories, the children worked together to create beautiful Christmas baubles and write special messages to celebrate the festive season. These activities not only brought lots of smiles and festive cheer but also linked beautifully to our topic of why Colwinston is a special place to live, learn, and play.
It was wonderful to see the children supporting each other, collaborating, and taking pride in their work. This buddy session reminded us how important friendship, teamwork, and community are, and it was the perfect way to end a busy term.
