Den building and orienteering for our Year 2 class.
The Year 2 trip to Margam Discovery Centre was a huge success!
The children had an amazing day outdoors, fully immersing themselves in hands-on activities that supported both learning and personal development. One of the highlights was building shelters together, where the children worked in small groups to plan, problem-solve and collaborate. This activity really showcased their team-building skills, communication, creativity and ability to listen to one another’s ideas.
The children also developed valuable outdoor and navigation skills, learning how to use a compass and read maps as part of their orienteering activities.
After such an active and exciting experience, it’s no surprise that many children fell asleep on the journey home — a clear sign of a day well spent, full of learning, fresh air and fun!
