Recently, our children had the wonderful opportunity to join the Cowbridge Historic Society for an engaging History Walk around Cowbridge town centre. Divided into small groups, the children explored the rich history of our local area, visiting significant sites such as the town hall, the bustling high street, the Old Boys Grammar School, Holy Cross Church, and the serene Physic Garden.
Throughout the walk, the students discovered the fascinating influence of Iolo Morgannwg on the town’s development and learned about the intriguing history of the Town Hall, which once served as a correctional facility. This immersive experience not only deepened their understanding of Cowbridge’s heritage but also fostered a sense of pride in our community. We are grateful to the Cowbridge Historic Society for their guidance and expertise in making this educational adventure possible!
