Year Two have had a fantastic summer term filled with creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning
They have enjoyed using the research cabin to discover fascinating facts about a variety of plants, including cacti and herbs, which inspired them to create their very own imaginative gardens in a box. Drawing inspiration from Welsh artists, the children also produced beautiful flower collages full of colour and texture. Their curiosity continued outdoors, with a visit to the school’s conservation area to explore what grows in our own grounds, and they’ve been carefully nurturing their own sunflowers from seed. The excitement is building for their upcoming trip to Plantasia, where they hope to learn about some of the lesser-known and more unusual plants. With just a few weeks left, Year Two are looking forward to finishing the term on a high before a well-earned summer break.
