Year 4 Family Service

This term our value has been justice.

We held a family service in St. Michael's church and we shared our learning with our families. We have learnt that justice means standing up for what is right. We have explored a number of ways we can do this. We thought about international migrants day, and how justice means making sure everyone has a safe home. We learnt about the work of mercy ships and compassion and discussed what justice looks like in healthcare and education. We learnt the story of David and Mephibosheth and recognised how justice means not taking revenge. Everyone enjoyed our powerful songs that we sung with enthusiasm sharing an important message that justice means being willing to take a stand and to give our love away to help someone else. All our visitors left with a shiny penny in their pocket to remind them that justice is something that requires something from them.

We are so proud of ourselves for this important message that we've shared and invite you to join us in doing what is just.
